More Info

Located in downtown San Diego, Petco Park has become one of the citys leading outdoor facilities for sports, entertainment and private events. Petco Park originally opened in 2004 with the first game of a NCAA invitational tournament hosted by the citys own San Diego State Aztecs. Since opening with a college sponsored event, San Diegos Petco Park has grown to be a popular site for both local and professional sports.

Of course, Petco Park would not be complete without a professional baseball team to call its own; the venue is currently home to the Major League Baseballs San Diego Padres. Prior to 2004, the San Diego Padres shared Qualcomm Stadium with the NFLs San Diego Chargers. Since moving to Petco Park, the Padres have gone on to produce some of the MLBs biggest stars.

Aside from housing a professional baseball team, Petco Park San Diego is also home to the IRBs USA Sevens. The Petco Park schedule has also accommodated a wide variety of corporate and private events.
